Moth Magnet Project
This project's goal was to create a purchasable project for an upcoming art event I was attending. I happened to have an abundance of butterfly wooden cutouts, but I didn't necessarily want to create a simple butterfly since many other artists would most definitely have that on their table. My compromise? Creating different colorful moth types, as that would be a more unique approach. I installed tiny magnets to the back and got to work on painting them.
As you can see above, my idea was to sketch out my design first before moving on to paint with acrylics'. I loved this method, as I ended up having no mistakes with the magnets in the painting process. I'll post some more photographs of the moth's staged outdoors down below.
